When we learned that today was National Pretzel Day, we knew that we needed to do something to celebrate. Pretzels are a great go-to snack, and we especially love Pretzel Crisps.
With our love of pretzels in full force, we realized that Pretzel Crisps are an awesome ingredient in many culinary concoctions. We’re talking everything from scooping hummus to mini sandwiches, to breadcrumbs, and even desserts!
Excited to discover new ways to use pretzels, we reached out to our friends at Pretzel Crisps and they shared this amazing pull-apart pretzel pizza recipe with us! Celebrate pretzel day with this tasty creation, or use it for your next party.
Ingredients
1 bag of Pretzel Crisps, original flavor
1 cup tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
2 cups vegan cheese
2 Tbsp black olives, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
Prep
Pre-heat oven to 375°.
Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Method
Place Pretzel Crisps on the parchment-covered cookie sheet to create a circular shape, with the edges of each pretzel touching.
In a small bowl, mix the tomato sauce, minced garlic, dried basil, and dried thyme.
Place a small dot of sauce on top of each pretzel.
Cover the entire circle of pretzels thoroughly with a melt-able vegan cheese.
Top the pizza with black olives, sliced bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms or any of your favorite pizza toppings.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Let cool slightly then allow guests to pull off pretzel by pretzel.
