FOOL'S GOLD

It’s not everyday you get a free pass to mess with your family, friends and coworkers. So when April Fools’ Day rolls around, we pull out all the stops.

It’s not amateur hour… we’ve all seen the classic food coloring in food or the shower, but this year calls for something special.

Here’s some of our favorite pranks that are sure to give you some laughs, and maybe lose you some friends…

*WARNING: Use your best judgement with who you decide to prank. Your new client visiting from across the world? She might not appreciate your April Fools’ spirit.

1. Borrow a friend’s phone because yours “doesn’t get good service” and proceed to set an alarm for 2am and change the language. They’ll notice the language immediately, but will never suspect the alarm until it’s too late.

2. Leave cryptic notes for a friend warning them of an epic impending prank, but never prank them. The suspense will kill them.

3. Cover the sensor of the TV remote with clear tape. Bonus points for doing it right before your roommate’s fav show. No worries, there’s always DVR…

4. Post a sign near the elevator button, key card sensor, or even coffee machine announcing that a new voice-control system has been installed. Watch as people shout trying to get it to work.

5. Draw or place googly eyes on everything in the fridge so that it looks like someone is watching you every time you open the door. Bonus points, for leaving a note that says “We’ve got eyes on you”.

6. Place a small speaker somewhere hidden near a coworker’s desk and play music very softly at random points throughout the day. They’ll try to figure out if they’re crazy or where the music is coming from.

7. Place a “Please Use Other Door” sign on each entrance to your building. If there is only one door, people will be confused, and if there are several, people will keep walking around to every door hoping one won’t have the sign.

8. Take photos of several of the family portraits at your parent’s home and use a face swap app to change around all of the faces. Get the photos printed then replace them in the frames.

9. Surprise everyone at the office by bringing “doughnuts”. Fill an empty doughnut box with fruit and veggies, and watch as the drama unfolds. (But if you’re really looking to get some yummy vegan doughnuts check out Dunwell!)

10. Turn a paper cup upside down and write a warning message implying that there is something awful being trapped underneath. Place the cup in the middle of your coworker’s desk and wait to see how they react.

BONUS (for those of you who are extra cruel): Pull out a few of the classics by filling Oreos with toothpaste or placing fake bugs in your friends’ stuff.
